Introduction to Siemens Cell and Battery Pack Design

2021 was a prominent year for electric vehicles with global demand for EV increasing, Singapore Government targets to deploy 60,000 electric vehicle (EV) charging points across Singapore by 2030. The leading OEMs are now engaged in the e-race and customers are ready to adopt what is no longer a trend but a viable option for daily commutes. The demand for battery also increases with more requirements, shorter design cycle for a better battery performance, maintenance costs, range and life.

The goal of this training is to provide you with the background knowledge and skills to simulate batteries used in many applications such as automotive and power storage, and to perform a thermal analysis of lithium-ion batteries using Siemens' Battery Simulation Solutions. Each SBC attendee receives a one month software access upon completion of the two-day workshop.

Course Trainer:   Winston Vigil Manuel Raj

Winston poses Masters in (M. Tech) Energy Systems from V.I.T, India and has 20+ years of experience in simulation technologies such as CFD, FEA, MBD, SEA on industrial cases. He has been with Siemens since 2012 and conducted numerous trainings on enabling customers in simulation techniques and supporting various industry customers from South East Asia to apply simulation tools in their product development.
