While electro-mobility revolution is getting in full swing, there are going to be an estimated 11 million tons of used electric vehicle (EV) batteries by 2030. As batteries represent up to 40% of the value of an EV, they offer a great potential for EV batteries remanufacturing industry.

Over the years, ARTC has developed capabilities and technologies related to product remanufacturing processes, including regenerative repair technologies, product verification, condition monitoring, robotic/automation solutions, and life cycle management capability. At the same time, with the launch and development of model factory programs in ARTC, the Centre has also developed the core competencies on IoT/IIoT platform technologies, AI assisted predictive analysis and digital twin, which could remodel the battery remanufacturing process using enhanced levels of intelligence and effectiveness.
